This time of year I like to crochet small items for instant satisfaction and to allay the anxiety caused by the approaching 'silly season'.
Why be anxious? The build up to Christmas in the Southern Hemisphere is a hot and humid affair... That's enough to stress this crafter.

Cute, easy, made in 15 minutes = instant gratification.
Here's a back view (don't ask why), unblocked. Doesn't look too bad, but....
It's got mistakes... yup, more than one. Apart from changing "language" (see causes, below) mid-row one wing is shorter than the other... I Shall Not Frog; there's a place in my heart for a wonky angel.
How, you may wonder, could this occur with such a simple easy pattern?
After coming up with one really good reason, I am miffed to confess that, like the mistakes, there's more than one reason.
1/ I craft in 3 languages: in French, in Australian English and in US English. How easy to mix up my double crochet and my trebles...
2 & 3/ Watching television and inattention (is this a tautology?) while crafting..
