A felt bag

Love Vintage Hues! Perfect for felting.

I loved Laetitia's bag so much I couldn't rest until it was made. (Auntieelle.blogspot, "I felt the earth move" handbag).

My version used 5 balls. I crocheted a chainless foundation of 50 sc and follwed the instructions faithfully (I think!). The base alone took one whole ball and was 71 cm long! So I had to add some rows at the top and crocheted 70 rows for the handle...

Being my own obsessional water miser, it was felted (at 60Celsius) with my normal wash (interrupted before rinsing); I also re-used the last rinse water for the second wash. Then the lot gets re-used for flushing the loo!

This pattern is a great template. Have not decided what to do about the closure; a timber button maybe...
